LANGKAWI AND A FLU..

Firstly, I am so sorry for the long hibernation. I was away since last Wednesday..because I went for a vacation with my sister in Langkawi..woohoo..!

We went there early Thursday morning via my Gennifer. My two nieces, once they hopped into my car, they straight away continued with their sleep together with their dad..hahaha..! My sister had to overcome her sleepiness to entertain the driver, me!

We arrived in Kuala Perlis jetty at 12 noon, got a ferry at 12.30 and off we went to Langkawi. The ferry ride was about an hour. Thank god we did not stopped at Kuala kedah, I wonder how long will that take huh?

Once arrived, our pre-booked rented car was a Renault, at first the price was RM120 per day but we argued as we know we can get cheaper..and finally we settled at RM90..but still I felt that we could get a lot cheaper as a friend of mine managed to get a Perdana for RM60 per day..*sigh*

Nway, we went to Berjaya Resort. I slept with Aeda in one room, connected together with my sister's room..kinda like a chalet in a middle of a jungle. I did not even get to see the beach from the balcony..heheh. Nevertheless, it was a comfy room. Me and Aeda did not like the aircond that much..we switched it off whenever we went to bed.

Day one was spend at the Burau Bay Beach. After a while we switched to the hotel's swimming pool. Aeda was afraid of water while Inaas was enjoying it like crazy. Heheh..that nite, we ate at a seafood restaurant known as Kitta Restaurant. The food was superb and delicious..nyum, nyum, nyum..

Day two..in the morning we went to the Eagle Square..took pictures..then, to the Underwater World..quite boring..then, off we went to the famous Chenang Beach.I had tremendous fun there. The waves was so high and vigorous that I wish I had a surf board with me..hahahah..! Aeda was enjoying her time playing with the sand. She could do that for hours..just digging the sand..filling the pail..etc..she can be an architect or a civil engineer..hehehe.

Day three was a bit exciting..we went for an island hopping tour. First, we stopped at Tasik Dayang Bunting. Gosh, it was such a sight. I had a bath at the lake. Hahaha..! Not that I wanna get pregnant or whatever as the legend says..it was just, the lake was just so tempting..and as you were in it..you just feel like you never want to get out. It was just so refreshing...but since we had only an hour per stop, we have to cut it short. Next was the eagle feeding session. the boat driver poured in some chicken meat on the sea and after a while, you would witnessed a bunch of eagles flying and grabbing the meat in such a magnificent way. It was exciting I tell you..the way they flew, plunged towards the sea, grabbed the meat and flew away again..pergh..! Finally, we stopped at Pulau Beras Basah..I dunno why they called it that..and that was the end of our island hopping. Next we went to The Seven Wells..where there is this beautiful waterfalls awaits us. Hahaha..but to get there, it was so tiring, we had to climb up this road..which I think the angle was like 70 degrees or so..heheh..but it was worth it la..We ended day three by riding the cable car. My brother-in-law is afraid of heights..hahahah..! No wonder he was a bit quite..hehehe.. It was a nice view of Langkawi from the top of the Mount Mat Cincang..that's all that I can say. Nothing much la..

Day four, the last day...my flu kicks in..hmm..too much water activity maybe..we did a bit of shopping at the Kuah Town..bought some souvenirs for friends and loved ones..hehehe..arrived back at the Kuala Perlis jetty at 2pm..and finally arrived safely in KL at 9.45pm. Feeling exhausted like crazy..I knew this would happened so I took leave on Monday..but..as my flu was getting worse, I took MC yesterday.

So there..a summary of what I have been doing for the past week..enjoying myself, babysitting my nieces, shopping, eating seafoods, and finally getting sick..hahahah..!

**********************************************

He was in KL yesterday, had to run some errands. I was happy and glad that he managed to find time for us to meet and had dinner together. At first, we had to meet up with his friends before finally had our own time to spend together. But really, it was not enough. I miss him..

I will only be able to see him again next weekend..what day is it today again?..*sigh*

WEEKEND AND PASAR MALAM

He was here last weekend, came by bus on Saturday..since I had to drive my sister to Melaka to visit our grandma during the day..I had dinner with him that nite..I felt really happy to see him again. We ate at an Italian restaurant at IKANO, then, as we were just about to arrive home, he asked me to accompany him for a smoke at which I just said yes, of course..heheh..we stopped by a few blocks from by house, and he was smoking away and we chatted again for a few minutes.

Nway, on Sunday, we spent the whole day together..well, almost la kan. Watch The Da Vinci Code at Midvalley..ok la, 2 hrs plus..Tom Hanks being the usual Tom Hanks..but I like him anyway. I haven't read the novel..dun think I will pun..heheh..but, I love movies where there are codes or puzzles that the hero/heroin have to solve to get to the target. Remember Die Hard 3 and Paycheck?
While waiting for the movie to start, we bought 2 hotdogs and then decided to just eat them outside. So, there we were, sitting in front of The Dome, enjoying our hotdogs. Looking at the cars and the queuing taxis. You know, this is how I always imagine myself with my date..no need fancy restaurant..just the two of us, enjoying our fast food, laughing and chatting away. Heheh..
After the movie, we went to the National Mosque, gosh, it was so big. The distance to take your wudhu' and to the praying area was quite far, plus the climbing of the stairs..heheh..I am old already la.
Then, we planned to have lunch at CM. The base of his sandal got broken while we walking towards CM..hahaha..it was so damn funny watching him walking so awkwardly, I was laughing like crazy. He was laughing with me at the same time together with the expression of "How could you laugh at me..?" Upon arriving at CM, he bought a new pair. Heheh..

************************************************

That nite, I brought my sister and Aeda to a pasar malam near Gombak. She bought tonnes of stuff and I had to stop her from buying more as she had become like a person who wants to break her fast. You know, like oh..oh, pulut panggang..oh..oh, char kuey tiaw..oh..oh, murtabak, but she had managed to get her ayam percik and rojak buah though..hihihi..next week pulak ok sis!

A good weekend indeed..

R&D WORKSHOP

I am still tired..and today I had to come to work as UNITEN is organizing this R&D workshop for the 9th Malaysian Plan. I was not in a good mood and kinda grumpy..maybe due to this tiredness I suppose..I did not get the rest that I needed. The only thing that made me happy and get me through the day was hearing his voice.

Nway, back to the workshop, the lecturers must try to come up with at least one project title for the fund. During the briefing, it was so boring and I felt asleep a couple of times. But then, the evening session was more interesting as we were divided into groups and we did some brainstorming to come out with some ideas.

Most of the titles were so technical that I couldn't understand their synopsis at all..gosh, I felt so left behind. But then, the main thing is that are you interested in that field in the first place to start making it a big project? Don't do it just for the sake of having a research..I told myself that..and finally, I came out with a title and I think I like the title so much because I know I am doing it for a good reason ( if it is approved la.. ) which is to educate.

Actually, for the past 2 weeks or so, I was thinking about a lot of things..PhD was one of them..but there was this one thing that kinda surprise me..I even thought about working back in the industry instead of teaching...I got so frustrated..because I thought that this is exactly what I love to do. But then again, I realized that this may arised due to the fact that I am not teaching during this special semester and I kinda lost about how to make myself more productive..being in a research team was one of the way..
And so, it was quite an eye opener that I proposed a title that sticks to what I believe is my best aspect..to educate and suddenly I just felt so much better

WHERE ARE WE GOING TODAY SIS?

Hmm..busy..busy..being a chauffeur for my sister and her family..heheh. I have decided to take leave until tomorrow just to be able to drive her around and of course to spend time with her and my two beloved nieces. I am physically tired but I do feel content that I am able to fulfill my part as a family.

So, being this occupied, I am not able to be online and contacting my friends especially with this one particular girl living in Shah Alam..I know she misses me,heheh..and she also keep looking at this blog whether it is updated or not..and so, this entry is dedicated to her. I hope she is happy..heheheh

Nway, my sister at this moment is still living with her in-laws in Kajang and..I have been driving back and forth from Sentul to Kajang to drive them around. On Monday, both my sister and my bro-in-law wanted to do their MyKad and off we went to Putrajaya. After that, I took them to Alamanda and they did some shopping. How lucky that their credit cards are in Euro!! Not fair..hahaha…!

Today, however, I was ‘summoned’ to come to Kajang at 2pm..at which I arrived at 2.30pm..nevertheless, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we got out of the house only at 3.30pm, and this time it was just me, my sis and my two nieces. We just went to Warta in Bangi..my sister wanted to buy some stuff for herself. Mind you, it was quite hard to go shopping with a noisy and active 5 years old toddler, together with a grumpy baby that wanted to be carried after 10 mins or so after we placed her on her pram.. heheh..I like to carry Inaas around because she is just so cute and adorable..but after a while, I did feel like my arm was going numb…hehehe..

Well, tomorrow they will be here in Sentul and I have to be in Kajang around 10am or so to pick them up..this time, we will be going to central KL and One Utama..hopefully, everything will go on smoothly as planned.

Will update more soon..phew..!

ANOTHER ONE?

Hmm..quite a long hibernation..heheh..no idea what to update except that in another 2 days, my sis is coming back..!!
Spaz

Aha..another divorce in the celebrity world, between Abby Abadi and Norman Hakim.
( I received a surprise phone call in the morning for this newsflash..hahaha..! )
It was really shocking as they are labeled as the so-called happy and perfect couple. But then, I guess something really serious had happened between them..and I read a gossip that there is a third person between them, caused misunderstanding..jealousy..*sigh*

Hmm..their marriage lasted for 3 years only..but according to Norman, he would really like to get back with Abby as he still loves her..but there is no comment from Abby yet, she is keeping her silence with the media about her private life as always and I respect her for that..I have always liked her.

Well, is divorce a trend nowadays, and I mean among the celebrities here in Malaysia? People don’t seem to mind..it’s not that surprising anymore. “ What? They are getting a divorce? Well, alright then..”

Is Malaysia turning into Hollywood..?Hope not..

To him, get well soon ok..

A BORING WEEKEND

After a wonderful weekend last week, this weekend was totally suck..hahaha…! On Saturday, I had a plan to watch MI 3 with a friend, but I was feeling a bit down and also a feeling of guilt actually because I had a misunderstanding with someone..someone I care deeply. So, there I was laying on my bed, walking around the house, making my self occupied..try to overcome and forget those feelings. At noon, a long awaited sms arrived, I called and apologize too..feeling a bit better..but at that point, I was sleepy and so, I took my nap..up to 3 hrs..hahahah..! There goes my Saturday.

Sunday..had a slight headache in the morning, ate my painkiller pill, then my afternoon was spent cleaning up the kitchen with my mom. I just helped carrying stuff to her, as the arrangement was her territory. But then, I did ask her to throw away some useless stuff that will only add to the clutter..hmm, u see my mom is a hopeless romantic too. Heheh..all the stuff actually brought back her childhood memories...but mak, these stuff might also bring back the cockroaches and rats ok?

*************************************************

He is so different from me..he loves poetry, enjoys reading books, history books mainly, enjoys politics, finance, economics...and arghhh, and some other stuff that is not my territory at all. My life on the other hand, is surrounded by my technical books, students, and when I read, I read blogs..hahaha..and some novels of course..that’s it. But then, he has a certain way of telling me what he had read, evaluate and analyze it, and sometimes he popped up some quotations that related to the topic at hand. He amazes me somehow..I never told him that.

I simply just love him..

WHY I LOVE GUBRA SO MUCH?

Gubra is a story about love..about 70% of the movie was about relationship between husband and wife.

1. The Bilal-Mas relationship is the kind of relationship that I dream of..that I pray and hope for...for me and my future husband. I want to be able to play and joke around with him but at the same, fulfilling my responsibility as a wife with all my heart. Pray together and then shake his hand after solat..praying that he will always love and take care of me.

2. The Arif-Orked relationship was also portrayed well. Let's leave his infidility aside ok and just look at the two of them together. He was a funny, caring and such a loving husband..all qualities that I looked for in my soulmate.

3. Finally, Abah-Mama relationship. I definitely wanna grow old with my husband and having this sort of caring, loving relationship. When Ida Nerina told her husband that if anything would had happened to him that she will be so heartbroken...pergh..what a sentence and Harith's response was even more touching.

Arghh..guys and gals, go and watch this movie la..watch it with your loved ones. If you watch it alone and every shot that shows these character makes you imagine your life with someone, someone that you just can't live without, then..he/she is THE ONE.

CHANGE

This morning I woke up a bit late with a slight headache, ate a couple of Panadols with my hot milo and I am feeling better..because of that, I started off late. Nway, I used a different road..I used the PLUS highway instead of my usual MRR2..I dunno why, suddenly I felt like it..I might be taking a risk of arriving late which I didn't..in fact I arrived earlier and I think I saved petrol..heheh. I always thought going through Sentul before arriving at the Mahameru Highway would be such a hassle but now, the road has actually been improved and it's not that bad actually. Compared to MRR2 with its usual crawl near Ampang..this one is much better. Once you reach Mahameru Highway, it will be a smooth sail all the way. Hmm..I think I will start using this road to go to UNITEN and then come back using MRR2..since the crawl at PWTC would be a nightmare for me if I go back using the same highway. :)

A change can sometimes be a good thing and it affects your whole view about something. This morning, I decided to give Sentul a chance and I'm glad that I did as now I found a better route to get to work. I believe that it applies to every aspect of your life, take a chance in something, it might turn out to be a good thing for you. You never know right? Even though it is as simple as changing your route to work.

**********************************************

Yesterday was my sister's birthday. So, Happy 32nd Birthday sis. Remember, it's just a number ( reciting this sentence to myself too..heheh). May Allah bless you with good health and a prosperous life.

***********************************************

To be honest, I have a lot that I wanna say..in my heart, there is a mix of tonnes of feelings. Just don't know where to begin...

WEEKEND AND GUBRA ( AGAIN! )

Hmm..I had a wonderful, memorable weekend..I took leave on Saturday as I wanted to servis my dear car, Gennifer..hmm..pity her..and PITY ME TOO! It caused me 200 plus for this service you…you beautiful orange thingy..! But, I still love you ok, Gennifer..don’t be angry and do some silly things on the road ok.
I read somewhere that cars can somehow be in a bad mood if the owner is angry at it, or if the owner plans to sell it..and the most popular is if the owner’s salary is just in..hahaha..! Nway, the appointment was at 11 am and finally, at 5 something in the evening, the car was ready..so, basically, on Saturday I just stayed at home, watching TV and listening to my mom’s ‘cheerful’ whining and nagging..love you mom..!

On Sunday, hmm..remember the wedding I went in the country club? Well, now it was in Malacca and we drove from Sentul at 11am..arrived there around 1.15pm. The weather was scorching hot. Nway, this time, it felt more like a celebration, so festive with sounds of music..with dondang sayang and kompang. Can’t wait to get...........a set of kompang for myself..hahaha..! What were you thinking?

KOMPANG

**********************************************

He arrived in KL in the morning, meeting his friends and then at night, we met after a long while. Hmm..the feeling? I can’t describe it. It felt good to see him again. He is so ‘healthy’..hahaha..! We ate at this restaurant in Sri Hartamas..the food was not that great but it was his treat..heheh..!

Yesterday, I spent the whole day with him. We finally watched Gubra ( Yeay! ) and then spent the evening eating and chatting away. Later that evening, we hang out with his friends and it was at Maghrib that we finally said our goodbyes. Hmm..not gonna elaborate on that la huh?

This morning I have this course about code of ethics or some sort..*sigh*..thank god, it will be only for a half day.

But yeay! I got an sms, gonna have lunch with him, before he heads home..! Another goodbye..? Aiyark..this gonna be tough..

***********************************************
Gubra was wonderful, I love it more than Sepet as I laughed and cried more. However, the ending was so abrupt that I left the cinema feeling like I wanted more..hmm, I think that what Yasmin wants from the audience..the feeling like they want more. Good job Yasmin!

Will update more later ok. Gotta go for the course now. :)
