Hmm..I was asked or forced, heheh..to become a panel for a mock interview held by the lecturers of Technical Communications here in UNITEN. I have been doing it for two days now. Today will be the last day and it will be for 3 hrs..*sigh*
And these students..let me tell you..most of them don't do research about the company. ( we are using a real-life advertisement ok and by a multinational company some more..) It's a position of a process engineer in a semiconductor company...and I would expect them to AT LEAST know the shape of a silicon wafer. One of them even thought that it is a shape of SQUARE. How to differentiate these wafers? Thickness? Diameters? They should know...this is the product of the company maa..
Nway, I am not an expert la in this interview thingy pun. My job was to ask technical questions.
And yes, their English..grammar mistakes all over the place.
Hmm..I guess that's the problem by taking engineering course. They just have to practice solving problems. Nothing much to do with communication. Of course they understand what is written in the text book and in the notes..but to converse..not really la. We the lecturers do wanna make them have projects and presentation but no time la..we have to finish the syllabus. So..lecture..lecture..lecture..
